NEET entrance exam is only for admission to courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS. No, you do not require to attempt the NEET exam in order to become a sonologist.
You need to score above 50% in Class 12 exams, with Biology, Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects. Sonography course is a 3 year or 4 year long course.
Following are sonography courses you can pursue after 12th-
1. Bsc Medical Imaging Technology- 3 year long course offered by institutes such as Jamia Hamdard
2. Bsc Medical Lab Technology- 4 year long course offered by Galgotia University
3. Bsc Radiography/ Radiology- 3 year long course offered by AIIMS Rishikesh, Delhi University

Just after having done BSc Radiology, you aren't eligible to teach the courses in colleges. For that you need to acquire atleast a MSc and if possible a PhD in the subject, in order to be a teacher.
Now yeah! if you become a professor in any college, then obviously there will be interdisciplinary course profiles through which you will have to teach subjects like Ultrasonography.

For graduate degree , students must have passed their 12th board exams from a recognized board . In most colleges an aggregate of 60% is required for admission .
For Post graduate degree, students are eligible for MSc , PG with a graduate degree in Ultrasonography/ Imaging Technology

Ultrasonography is the process to imaging the inner parts of our body with the use of high frequency sound waves. Basically there are some undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available on ultrasonography . If you want to do a Masters program related to Ultrasonography, then you can't do Biomedical Engineering then the candidate who have done there graduation in Medical Imaging technology are eligibile for. So if you want you can apply for the UG courses but not for the Master program.
