Yes you can give usmle by doing ug mbbs in india and then apply for residency in united states. Each year many indian medical graduates get selected in us residency programs.
Step 1 is a one-day test, usually taken at the end of the second year of medical school (https://www.princetonreview.com/med-school) . It emphasizes knowledge of basic sciences, including anatomy, biochemistry, behavioral sciences, microbiology, immunology, pathology, pharmacology and physiology. Topics such as nutrition, genetics and aging are also covered. All questions are multiple-choice.
Step 2 is a two-day test, usually taken in the fourth year of med school. It has two components. The first (called Clinical Knowledge, or CK), requires you to answer multiple–choice questions on clinical sciences like surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology. The second (called Clinical Skills, or CS) requires you to examine and diagnose actors posing as patients. For the Step 2 CS, students must travel to one of five testing centers around the country.
Step 3 is a two-day test, usually taken after the first year of residency. This is the final assessment of whether or not you're prepared to practice general medicine in an unsupervised setting. Like Step 2, Step 3 focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients. It includes both multiple choice questions and computer simulations of patient care.
Dear Akshay,
I think the aim of yours was mbbs only in the previous times but due to some problem you are thinking for leaving it before completing the full degree.See you have done so much hard work for coming on this platform.
If you have genuine problem and if you have planned for something better than it then you can leave it.But try to complete it.If you have some financial problem then you can apply for study loan otherwise i think you know better what your problem is. Don't Worry!!
I hope you got the answer!!
ALL THE BEST!!
If you have any query then feel free to ask!!
hi,
See in the questions you did not mention why do you want to go for us or whats the reason behind not to complete the mbbs course. now as for Indian education system, mbbs course is 5.5 years, where 4.5 years is for study and 1 year is mandatory internship. so In india to complete mbbs course you must complete studies as well as internship. after that you may go for md or ms course in usa, now in abroad country to get admission in any of the course you must have previous qualifications records to get admission in any college, unless you complete your bachelors course, it would be really difficult to get job or higher study, hope you may understand.

Hello !
NEET PG & USMLE are entrance exams to crack the best PG seat.
There is no comparison between the both, It depends on what you want. If you want to practice in the USA ,then u should go for USMLE.
If you want to practice in India then go for NEET PG. NEETPG is a single exam to test your knowledge on subjects.
USMLE is a three-step exam series. After USMLE you can work in many countries including India without any licensing exams.
Thanks!
