I did not secure a high rank in the ICAR PG examination this year. Due to this, my family is advising me to avoid taking a drop year and instead take admission at SHUATS, as admission there would be easier. However, SHUATS is now a non-ICAR institution, and I am uncertain whether pursuing my M.Sc. from a non- IICAR university would be worthwhile in term of academics value and future oppurtunitie

If you didn’t secure a good rank in ICAR PG and are considering SHUATS, note that since it’s now non-ICAR, your degree may not be valid for ICAR fellowships, JRF, or some government research jobs. However, it’s still recognized by UGC, so you can pursue private or state-level opportunities

Don’t worry, it’s not a serious mistake.
You just selected the wrong option for your qualifying exam type.
If you studied under CBSE or any State Board, you can fix it easily.
When the JEE correction window opens, choose your correct board name.

I have passed 10th and 12th from UP Madrasa Board, which is a government approved board. After that, I have been doing BA from a government university in Rajasthan since 10th and 12th. Then from the same BA Then I will do MA from the same BA. Can I clear NET JRF with this MA and become an assistant professor in any state in India? I wont face any problem with this Madrasa board on the basis of 10th and 12th.
