UGC formed a committee to recommend how examinations can be conducted amidst this coronavirus crisis that has in a way crippled the education system of the country. Based on the recommendations received by the committee, the UGC has prepared a set of rules to conduct the UG and PG examinations to ensure the students do not lose a semester or a year. The same has been forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor of each University. TSCHE also conducted a meeting to discuss the rules and recommendations of UGC and came up with a set recommendation of which the highlights have been provided below -

  • Will reduce the duration of examination to 2 Hours from the existing 3 hours and along with it make subtle changes to the exam pattern yet covering the entire syllabus

  • Exams will be conducted only for the final semester UG/PG students along with the backlogs and exams for the intermediate semesters to be conducted in November/December or as and when the regular classes commence

  • Intermediate semester students will be promoted even if the students have backlogs

  • Conventional UG programme exams will be conducted in two sessions daily

  • Seminars, viva-voice, projects etc will be conducted in online mode

  • All the COVID-19 protective protocols to be followed strictly during examinations

  • The exams will be conducted from 20th June 2020 onwards desirably

The students who are in the intermediate semesters will be promoted to the next semester without taking into consideration the previous backlogs. However, it is important for the students to score a required credit in the examination which will be conducted by the Varsities. The decision has been taken by the varsity authorities in lieu of the Coronavirus Pandemic. As the exam will be conducted for only the final year students, it will be much easier to maintain Social Distancing in the exam hall.

This is the July 10 notification.

will the third year university exams be held in September

AA 21st Jul, 2020

Hi aspirant ,

Till know there is no confirm notification for exams for 1st , 2nd ,3rd year students . Many state university has announced for general promotion for 1st , 2nd ,3rd year students , but in MP , Rajasthan like states govt has said to give general promotion but official order are not released by govt so the students have confusion but if conditions become normal exams can be conducted. For 4 th year students / last year students of any course will have to give exam their final semester . Institutions like iits have given general promotion. UGC has said to promote students of 1 at ,2nd and 3rd year will scheme like 50 percent of present semester + 50 percent of last semester . UGC has said college to conduct exams online/offline if possible for final year students . Mostly exams will not happen for 1 st , 2nd ,3rd students . If your state govt has said for general promotion and official order are released then exam will be there for frist , second and third year students .

Hope this help you

Stay good stay safe.

Is there a facility in B.com of som lalit college, ahmedabad that the university exams can be given later on if exams of CA are clashed with B.com exams??

Nimisha Gupta 14th Jun, 2020
Hi,
If CA exams are being clashed with BCom papers then I would suggest that give CA papers because your attempt would be more important. No college pushes its papers for CA exams. You will have to give a re-examination. Re exams can be given in the another semester. Often May attempt papers are clashed with college papers, so the college papers can be given in next May.
