Students are admitted to MA/MSc in Psychology on the basis of marks scored in the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by the Allahabad University.

No. of Seats: 45

Allahabad University PGAT 2020 will follow the following pattern for entrance exam:

• Each Test will have a maximum of 150 multiple-choice questions.
• PGAT Paper 1 will be conducted online and offline mode. PGAT Paper 2 will only be held online.
• For each correct answer, 2 marks are awarded whereas for a wrong answer 0.5 marks are deducted
• The First 50 questions are compulsory for every student. It consists of questions from-

1. General Awareness
2. General English
3. General Hindi
4. Mental Ability

• There will be two sets of 50 questions related to the subject which the candidate has chosen.
• 3 hours are given to a candidate to complete the test.
• If the candidate chooses only 1 subject then he/she will answer only 100 questions i.e. 50 from the compulsory section and 50 for the subject opted for.
• If the candidate chooses 2 subjects than the question paper will comprise of 150 questions.

The questions will be mostly from the course subject that is Psychology(under graduation level).

In BSc entrance test for Allahabad University, there are 3 sections

• General English or General Hindi for 40 marks and 20 questions
• General awareness for 20 marks and 10 questions
• Science Group for 240 marks and 120 questions.

If you are a Biology student, you have to choose physics, chemistry and biology if you are a mathematics student, you must select Physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Basically, the syllabus covers entire 12th portion. I recommend going through NCERT textbook properly

Give more importance to topics like classical mechanics, quantum physics and applications, electromagnetic theory, molecular physics.

In chemistry, Alkanes,alkenes, alcohols, equilibrium, D block elements, P block elements, biomolecules, hydrocarbons, ketones, ethers, chemical kinetics, redox reactions .

In Mathematics, integration, differentiation, probability, trignometry, matix and determinants, sets, relations, functions, vectors, 3d geometry, limits and continuity.

Allahabad University has released the exam pattern, which mentions details such as the pattern, syllabus, marking scheme. For admission in BSc there will be general English/general Hindi ( 20 questions), General Awareness( 10 questions), and science group (120 questions). There will be 40 questions from each physics, chemistry, maths/biology.

So yes there are chances that you can get some numerical based questions also in physics and chemistry.
