From this year onwards Delhi University is conducting entrance exams and there is a certain eligibility criteria for every course.

There is no choice between entrance and merit based admission. Giving the entrance exam for the course is mandatory.

There is not going to be much of a difference in the percentile structure.

The reason being Information Practices is the optional subject, and if you have scored good marks, involving it will make your percentile increase.

But as you are applying for BCom in DU, then,

It is hard to say Since you're not mentioned your Branch, Kindly Mention your Branch here and yeah you can get into BIT's Hyderabad if your Score is around 500-580

Application for for DU will be available from the 3rd week of may, 2019. Delhi University 2019 admission for UG Programmes is conducted mostly through merit formed by the calculation of 'Best of Four'.  In the application you need to enter the marks secured  in the 'Best four' subjects.

the cut offs for DU is different for different courses and also according to different colleges. But for most of them it is more than 90% for general category. If you want to get in north campus colleges the cut off will be high and more than 95%.
