Which combination in ba prog in jesus and mary, du should i apply for if my best of four is 88.5% so that i have a clear shot to get into the college?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 17th Aug, 2020

Hey Anshika

For the estfour in DU admission procedure you have to choose one Language (Core/Elective/Functional) after which you have to choose any three (chosen from the list of electives which you can get at https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks ). If you are changing your stream from Science or commerce to arts then there will be a deduction of 5% and if you choose a subject not mentioned in the elective list like Physical Education then there will be additional 2.5% deduction per subject. All the best!

Samarth Jain 17th Aug, 2020

The corona situation is really unstable. Till the pandemic ends, it is highly unlikely that the classes will start again. The vaccine is the much needed solution for the Students.

But we hope for the best and expect that the classes will begin from November approximately. Online learning has begun now so try to utilize its potential.

Too colleges like Hansraj college, Ramjas college, Hindu college , cut off goes to 97-98 %

However Eligibility criteria for bachelor's degree in DU is to have passed xii board with minimum 50% aggregate marks . Though it is difficult to get geography hons with 72 % but you can get after third round

we can added physical education in top 4 subject percentage required in du with out deduction in any course of commerce stream

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th Aug, 2020

Hello,

Yes, there will be a deduction in the percentage. Please check the best of four calculation criteria for B.Com (//B.Com) in Delhi University

  • Candidate must have scored minimum 60% or more in English/Hindi and combination of best three among  Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/Commerce.
  • If a subject is considered for calculation of best four which is not mentioned in List B will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, the maximum net deduction is 2%.

Physical Education is not listed in list B. So if you include that subject then there will be a deduction of 1% upto 2% depending on number of subjects which you have considered which are not in list B.
