Mathematics is the compulsory subject to get into DU for B .com(hons) .Few of the colleges has made mathematics compulsory for B .com(prog) too. It's not compulsory thatmathematics should be the part of best of four percentage what matters is that you should have studied it in 10+2.

i had fine arts as my 6th subject and got 97.5%. Can i include it in my best of four?

You can include fine arts in your best of four, if you have scored higher in comparison to other subjects but since it is your 6th subject, there will be a deduction of 2.5-5% while calculating your aggregate percentage keep this in mind before including fine arts.
