For MSc microbiology Madras University candidate should have to pass 10 + 2 + 3 years degree course pass with good marks in the stream of science and to qualify in entrance test to be university level entrance test of Madras University.

Master of Science (M.Sc) in Applied Microbiology is a two-year postgraduate course offered by the University of Madras, Chennai. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Microbiology is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the University of Madras, Chennai.
Candidates for admission to the first year of the Degree of Bachelor of Science courses shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the syndicate of the University of Madras with any one of the subjects Biology/Botany/Zoology in HSC.

Madras University is a public state university and one of the oldest universities in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The Madras University has a total of six campuses in Chepauk, Mariana, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal and Chetpet which include main library, senate house, clock tower etc. University of Madras does offer Bsc course in Microbiology. Candidates must have passed Class 12 from Science stream . There are total 50 seats. Fees for the complete course is 81k. In order to take admission you need to clear TNGASA exam. Candidates can apply for the same on official website i.e unom.ac.in .
