I got 480 in neet 2020 exam and Im of 2AH caterogy can I get seat in mop up round of kea counselling

Anurag Khanna 19th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See on such marks and category you have good chances of getting government quota seat in some medical colleges in Karnataka under state quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you can get following colleges :-

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore

Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore

M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-

I hope this information helps you.

What if we didnt get allotment in KEAM mbbs mop up round. Will the registration fee be refunded?

DrTeeth 30th Dec, 2020

hi! i would like to inform you that since you were not allotted a seat after participating in neet 2020 councelling for mbbs/bds, then your fees will be fully refunded. This would not have been possible if you would have been allotted a seat and then you were wanting to leave.

Hi Experts, After taking admission in round 2 if I didnt fill status retention form and if I got seat in mop up round then is it mandatory to take admission in that college or it depends on our choice whether we need to retain the admission in old college

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 17th Dec, 2020

You haven't mentioned the State NEET Counseling you are enquiring about. But going by your profile, we understand that you are enquiring about Maharashtra NEET Counselling. If you do not fill the Status retention form, the seat will not be retained and then you get to participate in the Mop Up Round. The Information Brochure isnt clear about the Mop Up Round seat filling procedure. But if you look at this paragraph: "A candidate who is selected in first or subsequent round of selection process but does not join the college or cancels the admission after joining, it will be presumed that such a candidate is not interested in the admission process and for all further CAP round(s) including MOPUP round(s) of admission. Such candidate shall not be considered for allotment of any seat during NEET UG 2020 admission process thorugh CAP round. " You need to take up that seat allotted in the Mop up round mandatorily. You cannot skip that seat because the Mop Up Round is the last round in the Counselling process.

Hello Dear,

INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) is a scholarship programme implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India for meritorious students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s courses in Natural and Basic Sciences.

If you have applied twice then there might be a chance of cancellation of your candidature because many institute/commission generally cancel out the multiple applications. So its better to contact the authority related to the scholarship.

What is the procedure of choice filling for Mop-up round counselling of UP and Chattisgarh for Non-domilcile students? Will it be the same procedure like round 1 and round 2?

rajeevanand843 16th Dec, 2020

Dear aspirant

No it will be not like round1 or round2 because mopup round for both State is going to be conducted in offline mode. So there will be no choice filling if seat remains vaccant in different colleges then you will get chance to choose among them. If all seat get exhausted of all Colleges then counselling will get over. So it's different for different states please visit the official website of both state counseling because mopup round norms and regulations varies for different states.

You can use our college predictor tool for predicting the best college at your marks and rank in your state. It is quite helpful for many students. Try it by visiting the link below

How does kea mop up round takes place? Are we given choice to select colleges?

roopalsengar04 16th Dec, 2020

Dear,

All candidates who have found a place on the Kerala Medical Rank List published by the CEE can take part in the mop-up counselling and register options. They include candidates who have already secured a seat in the earlier allotments conducted by the CEE and those who did not receive an allotment.

In the mop-up round, the number of seats falling vacant after the second allotment and change of college by candidates would be calculated and five times that number of students would be selected for certificate verification. This selection would be based on the options submitted by the candidate and reservation norms.

Registration fee of candidates who fail to secure a seat in the mop-up round would be refunded.

Yes, You have to fill choices in mopup round

Hope it Helps!
