I would like to tell you that, Yes! Now UPSC provides options to write GS and Optional papers in different mediums (Since 2018). If you choose to write GS and Essay papers in Hindi and Optional Paper in English you can do so.

For a candidate to be eligible to attend UPSC civil service examination, they have to be in the age bracket of 21 to 32 (for general category students) considered at 1 August. You will not be eligible since you will not be of the age 21 by 2023.
UPSC board is not confirming about removing the optional subject from the examination. But there will be high chances to remove the optional subject in upcoming upsc 2022 examination. If it's confirmed then they will declare soon and we all know.
