Actually both the general rank and category rank are needed in UPSEE counselling. The general rank means All India Rank is needed for the seat allocation method and for each category candidates there are some percentage of seats reserved for them. So after filling up all the general category seats then the seats of reserved category candidates are allotted according to their category rank.

Getting a TFW seat into any of the colleges mostly depends upon your Annual family income and the no. of seats available in the particular college. Some colleges have greater no. of TFW seats while some have less. If you have a less income and are financially unstable, then you can get admission through TFW seat by submitting your income certificate for verification purpose.
If the college that you would get has less TFW seats, then your admission into that college is difficult if the college has more seats then you can get admission into that college for TFW seat.
