USA
Hello aspirant,
I want to inform you that it's very much costly to do craniotomy in USA and a doctor charge $4,500 on average for this procedure. It might also hike as it varies from state to state in america, ehere the surgery cost around 60,000 USD.
Hopefully i have answered your doubt.
Actually there are various hospitals in United States of America which charges different fee structure so there is not one common fee structure. And the charges goes up and down according to the requirements and critical situation of operation. I am mentioning below example:
Like Pali momi medical hospital in the Hawaii State of America charges $31,000 only for cardiac surgery including there is also a need of removing plaque from blood vessels. This does not include the fees of the doctor. However the average fees which are doctor charges for operation is 5000 dollars.
There are also various hospitals in United States of America which give discount to the patients for operation of cardiac surgery. The average discount which is offered is 30% to the patient for cardiac surgery.

Hey student,
This totally depends upon the doctor and the fee he/she charges for the surgery. Obviously he/she doesn't get the whole amount as it also includes the room, sterilization and tools and Equipment related to the surgery.
All the best student,
Hope this helps you.
Hey Aspirant!
Yes, it is very difficult for a doctor to earn 70 lakh per surgery he performs in any country but it's not impossible.
Doctors start with low salary then with time and experience they are able to earn more. In the beginning in Internship they start earning 40k-60k a month. Then after completion of Internship it depends whether they go for jobs or further studies which lead there future earnings.
There are surgeons like Heart surgeons , Diabetic surgeons , Neurosurgeons, Thoracic surgeons who earns more than 50 lakhs on critical surgery with over a experience of a 20-30 years in USA as well as other countries.
All The Best for your Future!
No, Though doctors in USA earn more money than others but not that much. On an average doctor earn 300,000 doller a year excluding all expenses. A neurosurgeon can earn upto a million dollar a year based on his expertises.
Though you can earn a lot but lifestyle in USA is very much expensive and taxes are also very high.
And also as migrants people find some difficulties there too.
Hello Pallavi
Yes,If you are a MBBS student, Indian medical graduate, foreign medical graduate (FMG) or completed MD, and now wish to settle in the United States (US) in future, United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is the only option for you to get certified and start a medical practice in the US.
So, To apply for medicine PG in USA, you have to first clear USMLE at various levels. USMLE has clearly defined levels of medical courses after MBBS that is mandatory to be completed in USA.
And then you have qualify for Residency (Board certified PG while working in a Hospital under work permit). After MBBS, the above exams needs to be cleared. Indian doctors have to pass the above exams with high marks (230+).
Thank you
Hey aspirant
Denton Cooley, a famous surgeon, did just that. He was earning around $20 million per year in 2021 dollars ($10 million in the 1980s) by performing a massive number of cutting-edge open heart surgeries in an assembly line fashion in the 1980s. He had some junior surgeons open and close to increase his throughput, allowing him to perform 75,000 open heart operations per person, a record.
