    At anytime VIT VELLORE will be best option. As we all know VIT vellore is known for its nirf ranking and placements.
    In vit vellore branches like CSE,IT,ECE have 100 placement statistics . Average package of branch like CSE,IT is somewhat between 6-7lpa with highest package of 40 lakh to 21 student's last year.
    In terms of academics vit vellore can also compete with new IITS .

    Hi Abhineet,

    Based on your rank you will be called either for the first or second round of counselling. If you get a chance to go in first,  then surely you can get the branch with specialisation of your choice. But, if you are called in the second round, Your admission in CSE branch depends upon the seats left . Nevertheless, you can go for the other branches too 

    .

    Based on the past record,you do have a fair chance to get into mtech cse branch but as you see ,the trebd does change every time and year.

    Hello Student,
    The prestigious college of Vellore Institute of Technology has four campuses in the country:- Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, Amaravati.
    With a rank of about 60,000 you cannot get a seat at Vellore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology.
    VIT VELLORE is the oldest campus and has very high reputation. So Cutoffs are very high here.
    Branches like Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication engineering are in very high demands.
    Chennai campus too is old and has higher cutoffs. At Chennai campus you may get fashion technology. Very difficult to get good branches.

    For good branches, you must try for VIT Bhopal or VIT Amaravati as cutoffs there are lower. As these campuses are newer, cutoffs are lower as compared to other campuses.

    But you'll surely get a seat in some other course for sure.

    Thanks for asking your query congratulations on securing such a good rank in viteee 2019 you can pretty sure that you would get seat in Category 1 in vellore campus with the Desire branch,for category 1 you rank should be 1 to 5k , therefore you are eligible.

    Hello Aryan,

    Vellore Institute of Technology engineering entrance examination is held every year for admission into the prestigious institution of VIT in all of its branches around the country.
    The most reputed one is as Vellore.
    VIT offers Biotechnology and Biomedical engineering branches at it's main campus.

    The expected cutoff rank for Biotechnology course in VIT Vellore is around 20,000 in VITEEE 2019.

    And for Biomedical engineering course, it is expected to be under 40,000 all India rank in VITEEE 2019.

    You have very few chances of getting a seat for Biomedical engineering branch at VIT Vellore campus.

    VITEEE Scholarship Categories are as follows:-
    Category 1 : rank (1 to 20,000)
    Category 2 : rank (20,001 to 40,000)
    Category 3 : rank (40,001 to 65,000)
    Category 4 : rank (65,001 to 99,999)
    Category 5 : rank (1 lakh and above)
    As you can observe from the above information that you belong to Category 5.
    You won't get any fee concessions.

    With a rank of about 1,00,000 you cannot get a seat at Vellore or Chennai campus of Vellore Institute of Technology.

    Firstly of all note that VIT doesn't have any reservation system. So all seats are treated as general category and admission happens on basis of merit only.

    Vellore Institute of Technology assigns the students into categories for Scholarship provision. That is basically, fee would be lesser for candidate who scores better in VITEEE. Scholarship Categories are as follows:-
    Category 1 : rank (1 to 20,000)
    Category 2 : rank (20,001 to 40,000)
    Category 3 : rank (40,001 to 65,000)
    Category 4 : rank (65,001 to 99,999)
    Category 5 : rank (1 lakh and above)
    As you can observe from the above information that you belong to Category 1. As you've a rank of approximately 9,000 in VITEEE 2019. So you'll have maximum fee concession.

    I have got 74144 rank in viteee 2019 so can I get CSE in any of the vit campuses?

    The cutoff ranks for computer science and engineering group are always very high as compared to any other branch.
    Expected cutoffs at Vellore campus are :-
    1) CSE : under 6,000
    2) CSE with specialization in Information Security : under 7,000
    3) CSE with specialization in Bioinformatics : under 10,000
    Expected cutoffs at Chennai campus are:-
    1) CSE : under 10,000
    2) Electronics and Computer engineering : under 12,000

    As you can see here, with your rank of approximately 74,000 it is not possible to get any seat in VIT Vellore or Chennai.

    You will have to go for VIT Amaravati or Bhopal campus. These campuses are the newer ones. Hence cutoffs here are low. You can try there. But getting CSE is difficult there too.
    You'll get a seat for sure.
