what is the chapters of verbal reasoning for clat?

Anamika Vats 29th Jun, 2022

Dear Roshini,

According to the new CLAT pattern introduced in 2020, there is no fixed syllabus for logical reasoning. It has become more of an aptitude based exam .

Logical reasoning section now contains several 450 word paragraphs followed by five multiple choice questions based on each paragraph .

Therefore, instead of focusing on chapters which do not exist, just try practicing mocks, sample papers, and previous year question papers (especially from 2020, 2021 and 2022). You must also develop an above average reading speed as logical reasoning questions are paragraph based usually of 450 words.

Please go through this link to see the questions from logical reasoning:

I hope this helps! Best of luck!

For MICAT, is the divergent and convergent section limited to 1. Word association 2. Verbal reasoning (statement conclusions and assumptions) and 3. Visual reasoning? (series of images - complete the series, guess the odd one, etc.) Or are other type of LR questions also possible?

mansiprofessional234 Student Expert 28th Nov, 2020
Hey!
For MICAT exam , you can expect the questions from following topics to be included in convergent divergent section:
Puzzles, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Number Series, Seating Arrangement, Data Arrangement, Data Sufficiency, Caselets, Bars, Graphs, Tables, Venn Diagrams, Pie Charts, Syllogism
But if we analyze previous year question papers , then number series and data sufficiency are the two topics that i would recommend you the most.

if i obtain 80 marks in quantitative aptitude 80 marks in data interpection and 80 marks in verbal reasoning what is my total percentile of cat because my 10th and 12 marks is low ?

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 6th Apr, 2020
Hello,
Your CAT percentile has nothing to do with class X and XII marks.
The percentile indicates your performance relative to the other candidates. For example if you get 80 percentile it means your score is more than 80% of the appearing students.
The percentipe is calculated as:
P=(R/N) 100
where R=Rank of student and N=Number of students who appeared.
