My kcet ranking is 7979 in veterinary will I get a seat in veterinary college

Vasundhra 27th May, 2025

Dear Candidate ,
With a KCET 2025 Veterinary rank of 7,979 , your eligibility for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry ( BVSc and AH ) programs in Karnataka depends significantly on your category and rural quota status .
Given your rank - ( GENERAL MERIT ) it is unlikely to secure a seat in top veterinary colleges , as previous cutoffs are significantly lower .
However , your chances improve if you belong to the STG or other categories with higher cutoffs ranks .

KCET 2025 veterinary rank of 7979 , your chances of getting a free seat in B.V.Sc. in Karnataka depend on a few key factors:

Seat Availability for Veterinary in Karnataka

  • B.V.Sc. & A.H. is offered in Karnataka primarily through:

    • Veterinary College, Bangalore

    • Veterinary College, Shimoga

    • Veterinary College, Hassan

    • Veterinary College, Bidar

  • These are affiliated with the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) .

Total Seats for B.V.Sc. (2024 reference):

i got 1618 in agriculture practical and 1895 veterinary practical do i get veterinary seat

kumardurgesh1802 26th May, 2025

Hello there,

With your agriculture practical rank of 1618 and veterinary practical rank of 1895, getting a veterinary seat depends on the cutoff ranks of the colleges and your category.

  • Generally, veterinary seats have cutoffs that vary by state, category, and college.

  • If your ranks fall within or better than the cutoff for your category and state, you have a chance.

  • For Rajasthan, government veterinary colleges usually have cutoffs around similar or slightly lower ranks.

  • You can also explore private veterinary colleges where cutoffs might be less competitive.

Check official counseling notifications and cutoff lists from your state veterinary admission authority for exact details.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

My veterinary rank is 59 000 in Kcet and I also has HK and rural can I get Seat

Snahel Patra 26th May, 2025

With a KCET rank of 59,000 in the veterinary stream and Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) + Rural quota benefits, you have a good chance of securing a government veterinary seat in Karnataka. Here’s the analysis:

Expected Colleges Based on Previous Cutoffs:

  1. Government Veterinary Colleges (Under KVAFSU)

    • BVSc Cutoff Trends (2023-24)

      • General Merit (GM) : Usually closes around 15,000-25,000 .

      • HK Quota : Cutoffs are much lower (often 30,000-60,000 ).

      • Rural Quota : Further reduces competition.

  2. Possible Colleges

    • Veterinary College, Bangalore (Hebbal) – Competitive, but HK+Rural may help.

    • Veterinary College, Bidar – Good chance (HK region preference).

    • Veterinary College, Shivamogga – Possible.

    • Veterinary College, Gadag – High chance (less demand).

    • Check Cutoffs

    • Apply for KCET Counseling (KEA)

I got 278 markhs in neet this year (2025) will I get gov veterinary seat in maharashtra I belong to ntb category if all saying that this year cutoff will be below 500 in maharashtra

Rohan 25th May, 2025

With 278 marks in NEET 2025 and NTB category , getting a government veterinary seat in Maharashtra is unlikely.
Previous year NTB cutoffs for such seats were much higher (around 500+).

You should explore:

  • Private veterinary colleges in Maharashtra

  • Other states with lower cutoffs

Sir i got 431 rank in veterinary practicals can i get veterinary seat in final round in karnataka

Rubina Naseer 24th May, 2025

Hello,

Your chances of getting a BVSc and AH seat in the final round are good if you fall into a reserved category and have a Karnataka veterinary practicals rank of 431. General Merit cutoffs have increased to about 890 in previous years, and they are even higher for reserved categories. You have a good chance because your rank is well within that range. However, category cutoffs and seat availability determine final admission. Keep your paperwork ready, stay informed with notifications, and take part in all counselling rounds. Additionally, think about contingency plans in case the seat distribution does not proceed as planned.
