IIITs are much better than VIT. VIT is an average Institute with good students having average and sometimes below par faculties(exception are everywhere). IIITs have far better faculties and facilities than VIT. VIT has good infrastructure but not enough for students studying there as its student intake is very high

Many new IIITs lack their own campus and thus fail to provide students with many things, which are essential for their student life. But I can definitely assure you that IIIT, is way better than VIT. Not only it is an institute of national inportance, but also has its own campus and is thriving there. With great faculty and many extra cuurricular activities in form of clubs and competitions, IIITG has become a role model for the ew IIITs.

VIT Pune is one of the top colleges of Maharashtra and in the Pune region. So, it has a very high cut off percentile. Also, you expect to get admission in the CS branch of VIT Pune, which in turn has higher cut off percentile. Mostly admissions and cutoffs are based on the percentile scores of the students.
