yes you can get admission for chemical engineering in vit vellore in 1st or 2nd category with the rank of 70440 on viteee.

• You must be aware of the syllabus of VITEEE
• You must practice a lot of sample papers
• You must go through the previous year question papers
• You need to clear your very fundamentals from the good books for VITEEE.

With this rank it is next to impossible or to be more precise impossible to get CSE that too under 1st category fees structure.

Getting under category 2 is also difficult with this rank but if your luck favors then you may get CSE under 2nd category.

With this rank there is no scope for category 2 or even category 3. You will be placed in Category 4th and in this category also ECE is pretty difficult. I am not saying that it is impossible as chances are there in category 4th.
