Well, as you might have known that VIT Bhopal has new campus and so the faculties might not be as good as compared to the Chennai campus, so I reckon you can go for ECE at VIT Chennai campus as it's campus is also more well developed and infrastructured than that of Bhopal campus. But at the same time, campus doesn't matter if you're willingly going to take the course you are interested in since one should not sacrifice it's course field to study further.

Plus, since VIT is a prestigious private college of India, all of it's faculties must be at their best and obviously they are. So you can easily go to any of the either colleges taking any of the courses you're willing to without any doubt.

With your rank it is not possible to tell whether you will get the admission at VIT Chennai as the admission is totally based on the closing rank which is determined by institute itself by keeping certain factors on mind:

1- Number of students applied at Institute

2- Number of seat available at Institute.

3- Category of an Individual.

However we can get a rough idea of closing rank by analyzing some previous year cut off.

Hence according to some previous year data the average closing rank is around 14000.

So considering these factors you have slightly low chances for getting admission in VIT Chennai.

As per your question i am honestly saying no you can not get seat in category 1, 2 and 3. There is only way you can get it through management quota.

• Difficulty level of exam
• No of students appeared for the exam etc.

Well, as per VITEEE 2016 cut off , you have very few chances to get any branch in VIT of any domain . To get admission in any VIT , you need to rank min 50K .

• *toughness level of the VITEEE examination .

Yes, you can get a seat in VIT Chennai at this rank 29454, under category 4 or 5 of counselling process. You can get CSE Core but chances are low in category 4-5.  At this rank, you might be able to get a seat in specializations in CSE like cyber physical system or CSE-AI&ML courses.

Cutoff rank for CSE including spec. in VIT CHENNAI closes till 42k according to previous year data so there is a chance and you should go for counselling for the respective course.

In category 1, only the first 20 k rank holders are called for the counselling. Looking at the previous year cut offs, it looks like, it's quite hard for you to get into any course at this moment as the cutoffs are usually 30 - 40 k for all branches in VIT Chennai especially for category 1 and category 2.
