Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai Campus
Hey,
You should 1st decide what you want to study.
You can't compare between to college with two different branch.select the branch in which you have more interest
Both the college are good and frankly it won't matter in which you study as all the companies which come for campus placement are almost same for both the college.
But since you are confused, I would suggest that go for VIT as the faculty is quite good an experienced and placements are quite good too.
Hi Aspirant!
There are two types of rooms available in VIT campus. One is regular type rooms which are AC/non-AC with 2 bedded or 4 bedded facilityand common wahsrooms.
Other is apartment type which have attached bathroom. AC or non AC both have microwave, refrigerator facilities available in room. Rooms are 2 bedded or 4 bedded. Apartment type rooms have separate gym room and TV room.
You can choose the hostel during the time of admission. Once you get it in the first year, then from 2nd year onwards hoetl counselling takes place and the toppers/rank holders get the opportunity to choose the type of room or roommates they want.
Thankyou!
Hi Aspirant,
VIT Chennai is better in Artificial Intelligence in all respects and is better than KL University. The campus life and the infrastructures are just beyond words and also the student life is quite well maintained and disciplined here.Academics here are quite good and there are renowned teachers who are quite good and the course curriculum covered here is in a very good manner.Placement cell is quite good here which offers excellent placement opportunities. Many reputed companies like Whirlpool, Alstom, Hyundai, Qualcomm, HP, etc., visit here. The salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA to 9 LPA.All basic amenities are there in VIT and overall it is better than KL university.
Hope it helps!!

See for being an IAS officer there is no need of being an engineer or from any professional field. The only requirement is that you have to qualify all the tiers of UPSC CSE with good marks and you must have a graduation. Now as you are interested in Engineering then its always better to choose the best.
Among the two you have provided I would recommend you to go for VIT CHENNAI.
VIT have a very well organized curriculum such that the curriculum provides adequate skills to work in industry as well as to pursue academia. Also the faculties are very well experienced and are active in research. VIT offers a very good rate of placement about 91%. Thus if you want to get admitted in an engineering course then I would say its better to go for VIT CHENNAI. VIT CHENNAI have very good infrastructure which is really good fact for science students.
** I would highly recommend you to conduct a research by yourself. If you find my facts relevant then only go for it , else take the decision which will be the best for you.

Hi aspirant,
The engineering rankings released by various agencies are majorly for the main campus of of the University. But there are lot of similarities between VIT Vellore and Chennai. The faculties at both the campuses are brilliant and most of them have done P.hd in their subjects, the acaedmic curriculum for both are same. Moreover there are joint placements for all the students at Vellore which means equal job opportunities for all.
You you can get the detailed review of VIT Chennai at https://www.careers360.com/colleges/vellore-institute-of-technology-chennai-campus
Hello,
The VIT Colleges are all good and all has a very great academic excellence but especially talking about Vellore and Chennai than this both campus are considered as top choices of the students due to there huge popularity and vellore is considered number 1 Campus and Chennai comes on second position. So as you have mentioned your rank it’s a decent one but as i said earlier that this campus are quite famous due to which competition increases automatically and hence the rank required should be very high but you can try for the different branches and if you fall in the cutoff category of any branch than surely you will going to get admission.
Thank you..
Hi sir,
I am sorry to inform you that there is no chance for change in branch once provisional allotment is done. As per the guidelines of Vellore institute of technology no request for change in branch, campus or category shall be entertained.
However students who were not allotted any seats during the counseling can re appear in the subsequent phase.
