Hello candidate,
First of all, I want to clearly mention the fact that there is no such ranking known as hypothetical ranking available on any platform or or no search ranking is provided by any registered council.
The Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the best private technical institutions in the country for undergraduate and Masters studies and they have a ranking below 50 as per the national index ranking framework.
Hope you found it helpful!!
Hello dear aspirant
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. In Chennai campus of VIT, their faculty, infrastructure is definitely on-par with Vellore campus. They follow One Entry and One Exit where students enter the university through VITEEE Examination and leave the university with a centralized placement system. When it comes to placement opportunities, all the four campuses have equal weightage. The campus infrastructure, placement opportunities, faculty, learning experience will surely not be compromised.
VIT Chennai also offers many specializations in CSE branch such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Physical Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. These courses are future ready and have high placement opportunities. You can opt for the one you like from these specializations or opt for the core CSE branch.
Hope I've cleared all your doubts!!
All the best for your future career

All the colleges you have mentioned are well known. Now while considering a college you need to consider some parameters:
Now as per my opinion you should choose VIT chennai because it has better lab infrastructure than SRM KTR. Also the VIT chennai faculties are highly experienced and the majority of the teachers are active in research but in case of SRM the research involvement is less. The placements rate at VIT CHENNAI is quite good (>90%) with average packages of Rs. 7-8 LPA. The most important part is that the curriculum is more well organized in VIT rather than SRM. This is the only reason why you should consider VIT over SRM.
Now as its your career and its the most important, you should conduct a research by yourself and if you agree with my point of view then only rely on it else take the decision which will be the best for you according to yourself.

The good rank in VITEEE 2021 can be defined only on the basis of the number of candidates appeared for the exam. Usually, almost 1,00,000 candidates appear for the entrance exam, and a good rank range can be around 5,000. Candidates securing a rank under 5,000 have chances of securing admission in popular B.Tech specializations like CSE.
If a candidate needs to secure admission in B.Tech CSE offered by VIT Chennai, his/ her score in VITEEE can be 1-5000. However, the closing rank of other VIT campuses may vary. In all, a rank of less than 40,000 can be considered by VIT for admission in popular B.Tech specializations like CSE, ECE, IT, EE, Biotechnology etc.
But if a candidate with the rank of 5496 Rank in VIT 2021 than he or she should choose CSE with specialization in VIT Vellore.
CSE core in VIT Chennai is better for placement because if candidate do a specialization then his or her domain will be fixed, but in core candidates have the opportunity to explore various fields and specializations.
Hi Aspirant!
I am afraid to say that VIT Vellore is no good for mechatronics or automation branch. No doubt VIT is popular for its placement records but those are only good for CSE, IT , EEE or ECE. All the other branches than these has less number of placement opportunities. The average salary offered by the recruiting companies for the branches like automation or mechtronics is no more than 3-4 LPA. I would suggest you to chose any other branch if you apply.
Thankyou!
Hey,
The pdf file is available on the official site, you can go check it out there as I can't share it here.
According to teh previous years records, most probably you will fall under either category 2 or category 3. As upto 20,000 rank the students are counted as category-1 candidates and 20k onwards they are counted under category 2 or so on. Also, with this rank, you might get Civil engineering, Electronics and computer engineering, Fashion technology etc. in VIT Chennai. To know more, visit here:

Dear aspirant,
Asd you have mentioned that you have got vit chennai computer science branch in category 2, so the total fees of the college is 18L . Therefore in these private colleges the ROI factor is not good.
But still as you are getting computer science so you would be placed at a decent company so you can take up computer science branch there. But if you have any good government college as option then you should go for it whether or not you are getting computer science.
