Hello sir, What is the required rank and required marks to get into category 1 for ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING (Its a single course) in VIT Chennai?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 21st May, 2021

Hello,

The cut off varies every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination, total number of seats available, performance of the candidates etc. By analyzing the past years cut off you need to secure rank below 40,000 to get seat in Electronics and Computer Engineering to get admission in to Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. But as said earlier the cut off changes every year so to be on safe side you should aim to core minimum 50 marks to above in VITEEE 2021. This is an estimated score the rank with respective to the indicated score may vary depending on the highest score, lowest score, total number of candidates appeared, tie breakers etc.

how much marks should i acquire to certain my admission in vit chennai or vit vellore. kindly plz tell. im waiting.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 18th May, 2021

Hello,

It is quite difficult to predict the exact marks that you have to score to get seat in VIT Chennai or VIT Vellore because the seat allotment depends on the cut off rank, total number of seats available, category of the candidate, preferences of campus or branch. VITEEE is conducted for 80 marks so if you aim to score minimum 60-75 marks or above you will have decent chances of securing a good rank which can fetch you seat in one of the preferred campuses. Cut off depends on the total number of seats available, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc.

U. Janani 27th Feb, 2021

Hi Siva!

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, SASTRA, Thanjavur, are quite similar in their infrastructure! They have huge libraries, laboratories, cafeteria, Wi-Fi enabled campus, gym, etc,.

The placements in VIT Chennai is quite good when compared to that of Amrita College. The median salary in the former is Rs. 5.5 lakhs/year and in the latter is Rs. 4.0 lakhs/year. The median salary of SASTRA is Rs. 5 lakhs/year!

Hope this is helpful!

All the best!

i am not 70+ cgpa in ug does it affect my placement in Mtech VLSI design in vit Chennai

chinchujoseph1993 4th Jan, 2021

Hello,

The CGPA will serve as a screening criteria during the time of your placement. The cutoff will depend upon the company coming for the placement. Some companies may allow those above a 6.5 CGPA to sit for an interview, some may even allow a single backlog. So Consult with your Placement and Training cell to know how much each company would require.

Good Luck

how are placements of ece in vit chennai

Abhishek Roy 16th Dec, 2020

In todays date, VIT Chennai has established its own identity and is no longer recognized as a sister campus of VIT Vellore, somewhat following footfalls of Goa and Hyderabad Campuses of BITS Pilani. The campus has good infrastructure, faculty and residential facilities at par with VIT Vellore.

Electronics and Communication at VIT Chennai has more or less average placements with almost 80% students getting placed with a median package anywhere between 5 and 6 LPA. VIT Chennai has a huge locational advantage amd being located near IT and Industrial Hubs at Chennai as well as Research and Startup Hubs like the IITM Research Park, provide huge impetus in training and placements. Some of the Top Companies like Intel, Cisco, Ford, MuSigma, Qualcomm, TCS, Cognizant, TVS, Accenture, Wipro recruited students from ECE Department at VIT Chennai the previous year.

Electronics is a branch with excellent career scope and research potential. Vellore Institute of Technology also has a reputation of many students preparing for the GRE or GATE Exam for admission in universities abroad or in higher technical institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for a Masters degree in Electronics. Comp Science Engg in Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai and CSE With specilisation in Arificiial Intelligence and Machine Learning in VIT Chennai. Which course i can join. Pl explain with all pros and cons

Abhishek Roy 16th Oct, 2020

I believe CSE Thiagarajar College of Engineering under the eminent Anna University is knots ahead of Private Institutes like VIT Chennai and SRM. You will have access to better Faculty and Research Facilties.

From Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to Dr K Sivan of ISRO, Anna University alumini are known all over the world and hence an excellent employer outlook. Anna University has produced brilliant Researchers, Academicians and Engineering Professionals in all these year, and its the experience of Professors in curriculum which play an important role in your development as an Engineer. As far as Placement is concerned, being located near IT Hubs at Chennai, Thiagarajar too has excellent Placements in CSE with TCS, Infosys, Amazon, GE, Accenture, Microsoft and L&T being few of the top recruiters. Secondly the peer culture at Institutes if Anna University is excellent and many move on to pursue Masters at top Institutes like IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras, post Bachelors. All the Best.
