It is not as difficult as JEE Mains. It is easier than JEE though the format is a bit different from other exams. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours without any form of negative marking. All the questions are Multiple Choice Questions.

Yes histel is within the campus itself. Seperately hostels alloted for boys and girls. Hostel has 2 and 3 bed facilities with Wifi and RO Water. Seerate mess facilities as well.
