Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala is a way better option.

Placements in college are excellent. The average salary package offered is around 6.5-7.5 LPA, and it is offered to computers, electronics and ENC students. The highest salary package offered this year was 39 LPA, and it was offered by Microsoft to almost 6 students. There were around 3-4 companies which offered salary package more than 25 LPA. There are also companies that provide internships to 3rd-year students.

The infrastructure of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is top notch. The new department for computer science is equipped with top machines and all kinds of facilities. They have around 14 hostels in total. The hostel fee is ranging from Rs. 26,000 per semester to Rs. 49,000 per semester.

Faculty members in the college are like most other colleges ranges from not that good to downright excellent. But you'll find multiple teachers who would encourage you to help with the research work and academics.
