Hi there,
First of all you should be proud that you have become an engineer. Rather than being a clueless you can still do a lot better in your life. You just simply need a vision and a right path.
It is true that mechanical related jobs are quite low because of automation but still there are lot more jobs available for you. Simply you just need to push your self to do better within some time. You need to think what you can do now. There are various jobs roles such as Software developer engineer, Software engineer, Business analyst. See, TCS hires engineers of any branch but for that you need to pass their test that requires coding an aptitude along with interview.
So, if you are interested in working rather than looking for any alternative solution that will provide you future security then try out coding and web development as you will be able to solve the problems easily or you can simply go with doing MBA.
Hope this information will help you.
Thanks!!

Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing good. B-School selection process is basically a 2-step process.
The IIMs and other B-schools admit not just candidates with a high percentile, but those who are great presenter, have sharp communication techniques, and smarter among other candidates. After the announcement of the CAT results, it’s time to focus on the preparations for the next big steps for admission into top IIMs and B-schools.
A candidate is judged and analyzed on the basis of his performance at GD-PI and WAT rounds. It is at this stage that makes or breaks your admission chance into a particular B-School. With a tough competition for the Management seats across B-schools, it is best to prepare yourself with Tips and Guidance from the toppers of top IIM and B-school’s and experts of various coaching institutes.
Group Discussion: It is a discussion in a group of persons who express their views in a free manner upon a topic. It assesses students' personality in terms of both, technique and art and brings out the leaders among others.
Written Ability Test: A Written Ability Test is conducted by the IIMs & other B-schools to test the candidates ability to think critically, communicate the ideas, formulate a constructive critique and write the responses in a given time on paper.
Personal Interview: A Personal Interview is a conversation in which someone is asked about their background, lifestyle, experience. The personal interview with a candidate let the panel evaluate whether or not he / she have the capability and skills required to successfully pursue and develop a career in management.
Hope this answers your question and all the best.
Hello,
The cut off for each college will be different. To have decent chances to get seat in Government Institute the rank must be under 1000. As you have secured rank under 1000 you do have chances to get seat in Government and Private institute as well. You haven't mentioned the course in which you wish to seek admission and your category. Based on the information available in your profile we consider that you are seeking admission to Master in Business Management. Assuming that you belong to general category here is the list of institutes in which you have chances of getting seat
Cut off changes every year depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
