If you're speaking about a designer and developer (they're generally PHP guys) at a comparable workplace, ~30,000Rs–60,000Rs based on the size of the business.

However, freelancers gain from 20,000Rs per project (for a dull five-page blog with little customer communication) to 50,000Rs (a WordPress website with content feeding and installation) or more.

The average salary for a web designer depends on the companies,skills and experience.A qualified web designer may earn 2.5-3 lakhs per annum, while for an excellent web designer the salary may go upto 30-32 LPA with 3-5 years of experience.For a person who wants to make money quickly freelancing is a good option. Regarding your query,there are three kinds of web developers (there may be more out there) based on what part of web development they focus on. This determines what they should know.

• Front End Developers: They work on the look and feel and interactivity of websites. They specialize in writing HTML, CSS and Javascript. They mostly use one or more of the numerous Javascript frameworks available.
• Backend Developers: Backend developers work on the server-side of web applications. They are responsible for website logic and functionality.
• Full Stack Developers: They are able to sufficiently work on both the Front End and Back End parts of a website.

Front end and Back end developer: They are the two most fundamental parts of software engineering that play a significant role in web development. Frontend is what you see and interact with and backend is how all of it works. Frontend may refer to the graphical user interface whereas backend is that part of the website you cannot see or interact with.

Ofcourse the saray package of web designer are up to date and if you are in some good MNC's and have expeirence you can earn upto 10 lakhs pa.Apart from web designing , android developer and ios developer are also earning ,but the package of ios developer are much more.Hope you understood.So choose what you want to be.
