With the general rank of 35.7 K(2.7 K obc rank) it will be pretty difficult for the candidate to get into government college. But one can try for the private colleges which are undertaken by the government. Wait for the counselling.

You have to score in each individual paper more than 60-70% to score rank under 500 in WBJEE. 

Competition is high in wbjee and to get Jadavpur rank within 300 is must. Other govt colleges are also there but your eye should be focused on Jadavpur University.
