Sorry to say you but within one year it may not be possible as you have no your coding knowledge and not the experience. For that you have to choose your masters course wisely according to the data science field. You have to do some further research on this topic. Actually e the tier is not not a barrier at all. You have to learn some best coding like R python C node etc. You also can do some online certification course. After completing your masters you can become a data scientist.

Hello, The eligibility criteria required by the institute is an aggregate of 50 percent minimum, meaning the students with this percentage do have a chance of securing a seat if you have high entrance percentile score of 90 and above usually and perform well in the further rounds of admission process. You should should convince the board that you are a potential candidate and is in the process of improving further. You can master the basic management, economic theories and be updated with the current affairs. You can take up an internship in the meanwhile to upgrade your profile.

Dear Aspirant,
You can surely go for CAT exam, but the question remains only for you, whether you should give it or not. If you are trying for top IIMs, you need to get upwards of 99 percentile for any chance. You need to aim above 99 percentile for your chances to increase in the admission in Top IIMs. Further you will have to convince the panel in your interview process too.
But clearly define & ask yourself why you are pursuing this course. You need to know that the decision you are taking is a well thought & driven for your future betterment. Keep these things in mind before making any decision. Interact with IIM students to get more understanding of the course & you'll get a better idea of the same.
Thanks.
