In every reputed hospitals doctor has to work 40 to 48 hours in a week. There is a roster in every hospital that entry of every health workers doctors and nurses are included according tailor time schedule of working period. Registered nurse of full time has to work 36 to 40 hours in a week that 3, 12 hours shift in a week. A senior  doctor have to work more than 12 hours a day whenever there is an emergency patient of accident or any other patient who have admitted for serious cause in ICU. But more than 12 hours duty during a day can bring hazards and endanger the life of a patient because this long hours and excessive hours of working can make a doctor restless. So the permissible hours for working of a doctor should be not more than 6 hours and have  should have  one off day  per week.

Due to their shift hours ,their average working days is 4 in a particular week ,but depending on condition , patient ,crisis ,it may less or more ,nothing can be said accurately . But being a doctor ,we should not focus on holidays ,as a doctor to save a patient should be out first and last duty .
