the basic cutoff for SC category goes around 55 on average over the years but just passing the cutoff doe not guarantee admission into good NITs

• Electronics and Communication Engineering closing rank of around 5k
• Computer Science and Engineering closing rank of around 1.5k

NIT Durgapur

• Electronics and Communication Engineering closing rank of around 2.5k
• Computer Science and Engineering closing rank of around 1.6k

NIT Kurukshetra

• Electronics and Communication Engineering closing rank of around 3.5k
• Computer Science and Engineering closing rank of around 1.2k

So if you do not have a field preference then you can go for Biotechnology or mechanical engineering cutoff goes 5-7k.
