Out of MAT, CMAT, SNAP, XAT and IIFT, which is the exam whose result is accepted by more B-Schools and which of them should I prepare for, apart from CAT ?

Ipshita Das 6th Jul, 2020

Dear Aspirant.

For a Bschool CAT , MAT and CMAT scores are more acceptable by B-school.

If you have a specialisation choosen already than search for colleges those are best with the placement too.

Thanks and regards

what is the success rate of CAT/XAT?

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 23rd Apr, 2020
Hello
CAT and XAT exams are conducted every year for admission to MBA courses in IIMs and other top Bussiness schools of the country.
Every year around 2-3 lakh students apply for this exam for admission to premiere institutions of the country.
Sucess rate means the number of students passing the exam per 100 students who appear for it.
For CAT the success rate is around 2% i.e around 2 out of every 100 students who appear clear this examination.
However its better to focus on preparation.

Should I stop preparation for entrance exam and focused on remain 10+2 board exam as I heard that due to corona virus covid 19 universities can be cancelled the exam and noticed that the admission will based on 10+2 marks?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 20th Apr, 2020
Hello,

Let me assure you one thing that there is absolutely no chance of admission in engineering colleges based on class 12th board examination.JEE mains is postponed not canceled and even if gets cancelled there is no way that admission will take place based on 12th marks. So, just forget about these thing and focus on preparations because sooner or later all the exams will take place once the Covid-19 situation gets under control.

xat cut off for iifm bhopal for obc category

S. Saha Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020

IIFM, Bhopal is one of the premier institutes in India. IIFM accepts both CAT and XAT scores. To get into IIFM, you need to score at least 75 percentile in XAT being an OBC Candidate. But more you will score, the chances of getting selected will be higher. CAT/XAT percentile carries 50% weightage where as 10% weightage is given to Written Test and 30% to Interview. So you have to be exceptionally good in WAT/PI also.

sir presently I am pursuing English Graduation from IGNOU as a final year student and my final exam will be held on June 2021.. Am I eligible to fill forms of cat xAt?

rehan18alam Student Expert 17th Apr, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

You can fill the exam form of the CAT 2020 if you are in your final year in the year 2020. As you are to be graduated in 2021, that means that you will be in the final year, 5th semester during the CAT 2020 exam form and therefore you are eligible for the exam.

Thank you.

Sir/Mam , I would like to know about full syllabus of CAT , XAT ,IIFT ,SNAP section wise like in Quants ,How many chapters are there ,what are they . what are the important topics which comes every year.Same as for other sections also. And what are the similarities in above entrance exams

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th Apr, 2020

QA can be categorised into Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Mathematics. Practise chapter by chapter and develop mental calculations. Like practise more of basic summation, subtraction, fractions and tables. Numbers, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Ratio, Proportionality, Time-Distance, Time-Work, Mixtures, Averages, Partnership, Permutation and Combinations, Probability, Set Theory, Progression and Series, Line, Angles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Polygon, Circles, Ares, Volume, Height and Distance, Coordinate Geometry, Basic Trigonometry are few important topics.

Because this section involves mathematics and takes most of your time, your focus should be on solving the problems efficiently in the beginning. Even if it takes time, practise upto perfection. Practise as many questions as you can in the conventional way. As and when you get a grip on the subject, you can go for short cuts. Memorise tables, square roots, cube roots, conversion from percent to fraction, etc. Solve sample papers on Mathematics. In the beginning, do not worry about the time it takes. As you practise, you will get the hang of the subject and it will be easier for you
