Of course you can enroll in a Bachelors degree in yoga or yogic science. To be eligible for BA in yoga or BSc in yoga you must have completed your 10+2 level education with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education. Recently, as per the revised list, issued by the DoPT, which includes 20 new disciplines: Baseball, body building (was included as part of gymnastics previously), cycling polo, deaf sports, fencing, kudo, mallakhamb, motorsports, net ball, para sports (disciplines included in Paralympics and Para Asian Games), pencak silat, yoga, roll ball, rugby, sepak takraw, soft tennis, shooting ball, tenpin bowling, triathlon, tug-of-war and wushu for being eligible to provide sports reservation in Central Government and other government funded universities and colleges.

Eligibility for M.A Yoga
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 48 credits in Major subject, 48 credits in two minor subjects, 9 credits in compulsory, 1 credit in GI & hobby with aggregate of 106 credits for the award of pass degree OR with atleast 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC.ST.) from a University established by law in India. In Master of translation, and M.A. in Yoga studies, preference will be given to those students who have studied these subject at undergraduate
Basis of Admission:
The admission to the above courses will be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. The candidates will be required to answer 50 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each. The final merit will be worked out of 100 marks. (The duration of the (M.A.) and M. Com. courses will be two academic years spread over in four semesters.

Distance Education generally means you can pursue a particular course/degree by sitting at your home. You need to attend the Personal Contact Program(PCP) Classes which are sometimes compulsory/optional. PCP Classes are conducted in each semester. So, distance education in yoga also means the same. You will be awarded degree but you will do all the assignments, project at your home. You will be provided with study material, video lectures etc.
