the iits offered msc in chemistry is TB, IITD, IITGN, IITG, IITH, IITI, IITK, IITM, IITR. the eligibility criteria is Bachelor's degree with Chemistry for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at the (10+2) level. so you are not eligible.

To the best of my knowledge, in majority of the streams of B.Sc courses for life science candidates, definitely, there will be a combination of Botany and Zoology. So, you will have to go through both the subjects in Graduation with B.Sc.
