Yes definitely you are eligible for iit jam from chemistry even if you have done your b. Sc from zoologand I would like to tell you would only be able to do so if you have chemistry as another subject along with zoology as your subject, so if

M.Sc. Zoology is a postgraduate course in the study of animal behaviour, structure and classification. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. graduate in Medical and Allied Medical Sciences/ Biosciences/ Life sciences with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course.

zoology has it's own pros as it is a core biology subject and closely related to biotechnology.

For for MSc zoology should do BSc zoology but after Bachelors in any sciences you can go for MSc biotechnology.

Please specify the university that you are opting for as different universities have different syllabus for their exams. But generally, undergraduate level syllabus of zoology is asked in the masters entrance exam. You can also check the university's website for more information.
