A score of 127 in the AUPGAT entrance exam for MSc Zoology, combined with your OBC category, gives you a decent chance of getting into Allahabad University. The cut-offs vary each year, depending on the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability. In recent years, candidates in the OBC category have managed admission with scores slightly above 120, so you’re definitely in the safe or borderline zone. However, your actual admission will depend on your Category rank in the final merit list, number of seats reserved for OBC candidates and the rounds of counselling.
You should definitely participate in the counselling process, keep your documents ready like your mark sheets, caste certificate, AUPGAT scorecard, ID, etc.Even if you don’t get a seat in the first round, don’t lose hope many students secure seats in later rounds.
Wishing you all the best!
Hii,
As you mentioned taking Zoology as your main subject and Chemistry as second, and Psychology as optional in AU entrance, and it’s not reflecting in your scorecard, you need to reach out to the exam authority (Andhra University) directly.
Because entrance exams generally consider only the main and second subjects for calculating results. If Psychology was optional and not attempted during the exam, it won’t be added to the scorecard. However, if you did appear for Psychology and it’s still missing, this could be an error.
You can follow these steps:
Hope you will find it helpful!

good afternoon, with a PGAT score of 127 in the OBC category, your chances for M.Sc. Zoology at Allahabad University are promising but may depend on the final cutoff and seat availability.
The expected cutoff for M.Sc. Zoology (OBC) at Allahabad University is around 140–145 marks2.
unfortunately, your score of 127 is slightly below this range, but not drastically so you might still have a shot in later counseling rounds or if the cutoff dips
Register for counseling as soon as it opens on the official AU PGAT portal https://universitykart.com/exams/examdetails/allahabad-university-pgat/exam-result
Keep an eye on spot rounds or special drives for OBC candidates
Hello,
No, Physics is not always compulsory for admission to B.Sc. Zoology Honours in Odisha but it depends on the university or college you're applying to.Most universities in Odisha like Utkal University, Ravenshaw University, Berhampur University, etc. require that you must have studied Biology in your class 12 . Many colleges allow either Chemistry or Physics as the second subject alongside Biology. So, Physics is not strictly mandatory everywhere. Some colleges may ask for a combination of Biology + Chemistry + Physics in your Class 12,
Check the eligibility criteria on the official website of the college or university you’re applying to.
Thank you
