books will be mentioned in class room program when you will join the classes. right now there is no mention of books and syllabus in official website. and syllabus are different for different colleges and university and depends on stream also.

in nift delhi there is no diploma course available.  however there are bachelors and master degree in designing available. also there is some certification courses for 1 year also offers.

Certificate in Creative Fashion Styling-6 month-62k fees

Certificate in Graphic Design and Communication- 1 year-75k fees

Depends upon which ground you are talking about. If you are considering SSC form then obviously it is a huge boost as it will lower your cutoff with 0.4 factor.
