My percentile is 39.9 i am st from arunachal

manisha.gupta 24th Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It would be difficult to tell you the qualifying cutoff & exact rank. You may calculate your expected rank by this formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 874469 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

Using the formula
(100 - your total score) X 869010 /100

Your probable general rank will be 5,22,275.

The chances are very less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs. I would suggest you to appear for JEE Main April Session again & score well.

Good Luck!

can a bca student apply for ugee

Swatika Sharma 22nd Jan, 2020

Hello Laukik,

First of all, let's take a look at what is UGEE? UGEE stands for Undergraduate Engineering Entrance examination offered by IIIT Hyderabad is an university-based exam organized for admission of B.Tech programmes.

Yes, you can apply for UGEE examination. But I advise you that MCA is a better choice after your BCA and for your future because:-

  • MCA is a postgraduate degree while B.Tech is undergraduate which take less time as compared to B.Tech (4 years ) and it will add more weightage to your academics.
  • You can get deep knowledge of various aspects of computer science and programming.
  • You can also choose another postgraduate programme such as MBA or MSc.
