My daughter got 87.76 percentaile in January2010 Mains she is under General ews, If any hopes for any NIT..

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020

You haven't mentioned the State you belong to. This is important because the cut offs are different for Home State Candidates and Other State Candidates.

To caculate your daughter's rank with the help of your percentile, we should use the formula:

(100-your total percentile)*869010/100. Going by this formula, your rank will be 106366. Now this is for January session. If the no.of Candidates appearing for JEE Mains April session is increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank is calculated using the formula: (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.

With this rank, chances  in NITs might be tad less. But should you plan on appearing for JEE Advanced, you will qualify as the expected qualifying percentile is 85 and above. But for checking your chances at NITs, please help us with your Home State.

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020
Hello.
At 99.9450358 percentile in JEE mains your approximate rank would be 478 ( if I consider for general category) which is under 500 which is a very good rank and you have decent chances of admission in all 31 NIT in Computer science and Engineering branch some of these are listed below:
  • NIT tiruchirappalli.
  • NIT Warangal.
  • NIT Jalandhar.
  • NIT Jaipur.
  • NIT Allahabad.
  • NIT Agartala.
  • NIT arunachal Pradesh.
  • NIT Calicut.
Now it would be a wise decision if you will appear for JEE advanced at this percentile you are definitely qualified for JEE advanced.
Now if you want to know more colleges with this percentile then you can use our college predictor tool from the below link:

i am from obc category i have got 93.44 percentile in jee 2020 i want to take electronic branch how is my marks and where can i get

Sharon Rose Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2020
Hello,
Your expected rank can be calculated using the formula given below
(100-total percentile)*869010/100
In your case it is
(100-93.44)*869010/100=57007
And your category rank will be around 25k-30k.
So it is not possible to get seat in NITs.However if you hold a domicile of a particular state which has NITs you have chances of getting a seat with this rank as the cut off for home state candidates and other state candidates is different. So if you tell us your state we may help you further.

what is the gate rank expected to get m.tech in electronics and communication engineering in sree venkawara University college in tirupati

Sharon Rose Student Expert 2nd Mar, 2020
Hello,

You have not mentioned your category.Assuming that you belong to general category the cut off was as follows in 2019 for each branch

  • Power systems: 3411
  • Communication systems: 3538
  • Instrumentation and control: 4711
  • Signal processing:  3798

So, you need secure a rank in top 5000 to have decent chances of getting SVU, TTirupatiAnd if you belong to OBC category you need to secure a rank in top 10000 and if you belong to SC/ST then you need to secure a rank in top 20000 to get seat.
However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.
