if we qialify by getting 40 percentile in jee mains

Harsh Pandey 22nd Jan, 2020
If you have a score of 40 percentile then unfortunately you won't be able to qualify JEE Mains because last year the lowest percentile cutoff score was for ST Category candidates which was 44.33 percentile..so there is no chance for you toh get qualified in JEE Mains even if you come under ST Category. So it's better to focus upon the upcoming April Attempt so that you may get a good score and qualify the exam to become eligibile to appear in Advanced and perform well in it.
Thank you..

hi i have 71.9 percentile in JEE main 2020, I am from kerala and in OBC-NCL class, will i get admission in NIT?

Harsh Pandey 22nd Jan, 2020
On referring to previous year cutoff stats we can clearly observe that the minimum cutoff percentile score for OBC-NCL was 74.31 percentile so on comparison with your percentile score (71.9) it is clear that you haven't cleared the minimum cutoff score so you aren't qualified in JEE Mains as of now and wont be able to appear in Advanced exam. And to get admission into NITs , qualifying JEE Mains is a must so unfortunately you won't be able to get admission into any NIT for now. But you can focus for the next Attempt and do your best to get your desired college.
Thank you...

are 135 marks good for fetting into the top nit in jee mains

Raj Aryan Sharma 22nd Jan, 2020

Hi Krishna.

If you are of the General category and without the ews quota, then NO, 135 marks in JEE Mains are not enough for getting into a top National Institute of Technology (NIT). So prepare well for April's JEE Mains if you are of the General Category.

If you are of SC/ST category, then you can easily get into ay top NIT with that many marks. For more information on the colleges that you might get with your marks/percentile, go check out this college predictor -

I got 74 percentile in paper-1 & i belongs to oc category. Can i get seat in any college? If it happens what colleges i will get seat.If not how much percentile should i get.

AYAN MULLA 22nd Jan, 2020

HELLO YASHWANT

Your expected rank for this percentile for january session comes out to be 225942.

It is very difficult to predict the exact rank since it depend on various factors. The expected rank might change depending  on the no of candidates appearing the april session.

now coming to your question with this percentile you may get collges but not the reputed one. you should at least grab more than 98 percentile to get into good NITs and IITs. so you still have an april attempt left prepare thoroughly.

If you are curious to know which college you might get into with this present percentile the use the college predictor which has features like.

my mark is 82.1440139 what is my predicted rank???? how can i calculate?

Harsh Pandey 22nd Jan, 2020
I think that is your percentile score because you won't be getting marks in decimal...Therefore,if you have scored 82.14 percentile then you may calculate your rank through following method:
To get the percentage of people ahead of you :
(100 - your percentile)
So, (100-82.14) = 17.86
And the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam were
around 869010.
The formula to predict rank is-
(100 - your score) 869010/100
> 17.868690.10 = 155205 .
So your rank would be around 155205 .
Also if the number of candidates who apply for April attempt will increase to 1200000 then your final rank would be :
(100 - your score) 1200000/100
> 17.8612000 = 214320 .
Therefore, your rank would come nearby 214320 .
Than you..
