To get admission in IISER Mohali for B.Tech. , a male candidate from SC Category must have a rank within 10,000 in JEE Mains Examination.
Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 12th board examination is also applicable to get admission into IISER Mohali.

The 4 year gap is really big.Generally people take one year gap for preparation for JEE or Other competitive exams but for 4 years you should must have a solid reason. But there is no rule till now for the gap between 10th and 12th boards.You will

While some Institutes offer a 3–4 years of B.P.E. and B.Sc.(P.E,H.E&S) which requires passing 10+2 as eligibility criteria.
