You got 388 marks in the NEET exam and you belong to the OBC category.
Yes, you have qualified for NEET because the minimum qualifying marks for OBC category is around 113 to 143. So, you are eligible to take part in NEET counselling.
But for getting a seat in a government medical college through All India Quota, the cutoff is usually much higher. For OBC category, students usually need at least 590 marks or more to get a government medical seat under All India Quota.
So with 388 marks, it is very difficult to get a seat in any government medical college through the All India Quota. Even in state quota, most government colleges need around 530 to 570 marks or more for OBC category.
You can still take part in counselling, but the chances are very low for government medical colleges. You may get a seat in a private or deemed university if you are open to that option.
Keep checking for counselling updates and take part when registration starts.

With 388 marks OBC category, you have a slim chance of getting a government MBBS seat in Karnataka, mostly in less preferred colleges. You can get a seat in state counseling rounds and mop-up rounds, where cutoff may drop.

64 marks out of 200 are not enough for admission in DDU (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University). Usually, for admission in DDU, students have to score more than 100 marks out of 200, and for some courses, this number can be 150 or more. 64 marks are too low and the chances of admission are very low.
So, if you want to take admission in DDU, you have to try again next year and score more marks. You can check the admission procedure and cutoff marks on the university website.

Eligibility criteria:
After completing your Integrated MSc in Basic Sciences, you’ve got a few good directions to consider. If you’re research-inclined, go for a PhD in India like in IISc, IITs, or JNCASR or even apply abroad. If you prefer jobs, look into scientific research roles in CSIR/DRDO/ISRO, or even teaching jobs in colleges after clearing NET or SET exams. Alternatively, explore roles in data science, science communication, clinical research, or patent analysis—all fields that value analytical skills from science grads.

Hello Shubhangi!
Yes, a few schools offer PCM along with one or two humanities subjects like Economics, Psychology, or Sociology. It really depends on your school’s curriculum structure. CBSE and ICSE boards allow this flexibility, but state boards may have fixed subject groupings. You can even pick a combo like Physics, Chemistry, Math + Psychology or Economics, which is becoming increasingly popular among students exploring diverse careers options.
Thank you!
