How tough the NDA and UPSC exam give me all details ( if possible hindi language)

Aryan 28th Dec, 2025

Hi dear candidate,

Both the exams are tough in their own way.

NDA tests class and XII level academics along with intense personality as well as physical fitness with SSB. What makes NDA tough is number of competitors and SSB's challenging interview.

UPSC (Civil service) requires vast information about subjective knowledge over three stages in total (prelims, mains and interview). UPSC is tough due to stacks of syllabus and 3 stage selection process.

What should i take after 10 for joining into NDA

Manasvi jadhav 17th Dec, 2025

Hey candidate

Joining the National Defence Academy (NDA) directly after 10th is not possible, because the NDA requires candidates to have completed 12th class (10+2) or equivalent. preparation early (General Ability Test + Mathematics).

Here’s a short roadmap from 10th to NDA:

1. After 10th:

Choose Science (Physics & Maths) for Air Force/Navy, any stream for Army.

Start fitness training and join NCC if possible.

2. During 11th:

Focus on core subjects and general knowledge.

Continue physical fitness.

3. During 12th:

Prepare for NDA exam (Mathematics + General Ability Test).

Take mock tests and maintain fitness.

4. Apply for NDA:

Apply online at UPSC website.

Prepare for SSB interview + medical exam.

5. After selection:

Join NDA, Pune for 3 years + service academy training.

Tip: Start fitness, GK, and Maths now for a strong foundation.

Hope this helps you

All the best

Meghdeep Laha 15th Dec, 2025

Hello,

Knowing Hindi isn't necessary for giving NDA exam. The question papers are bilingual for most sections.

Though you will need Hindi as a language to communicate with other troops. Proficiency in English is required to crack the English paper and interview. Strong English skills is important for SSB and future career as an officer.

For more information about the NDA examination check out the official website of Careers360.

i have qualified ctet with obcncl category but with 117 marks which is above the ur cut off but i applied for emrs tgt as general category. so if i qualified in the selection process will my candidature be rejected due to the discrepancy between the two categories?? please help !!!

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 12th Dec, 2025

If you have qualified CTET under the OBC-NCL category but applied for the EMRS TGT post as a General category candidate, your candidature is generally not rejected only because the categories are different. What matters for EMRS recruitment is the category you selected at the time of filling the EMRS application form, since that is the category under which you will be considered for merit, cut-off and reservation benefits.

Your CTET certificate remains valid for all categories as long as you have scored above the qualifying marks. CTET does not restrict you from applying to any recruitment under a different category. Many candidates qualify CTET under one category but apply to different teaching recruitments under another category based on their preference or documents.

The only important point is that at the time of EMRS document verification, you must be able to provide valid proof for the category you selected in the EMRS form. If you applied as General, you will be treated as a General candidate during the entire recruitment process, and no OBC-NCL benefit will be given. Since your CTET marks are above the UR cut-off, there is usually no issue.

So, your candidature is unlikely to be rejected just because your CTET category and EMRS application category do not match. Make sure your documents for the category you selected in EMRS are clear and valid. All the best.
