With a CLAT rank of 52236 and ST category , getting top NLUs is not possible . Top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLIU Bhopal, NLU Jodhpur usually close below 10,000–15,000 rank for ST category.
However, some newer or lower-ranked NLUs have gone to much higher ranks for ST candidates in later counselling rounds. In previous years, ST closing ranks of 35,000 to 50,000+ were seen in NLUs like:
TNNLU Tiruchirappalli
RMLNLU Lucknow
MNLU Nagpur
MNLU Aurangabad
Other newly established NLUs
So, with 52236 rank , you do not have chances in top NLUs , but you may get a seat in newer or lower-tier NLUs , especially if:
Vacant seats remain
You stay active in all counselling rounds
You should participate in counselling till the last round and also keep backup options like state law universities or private law colleges.
You can also use our CLAT College Predictor Tool to predict which colleges you can get based on your score and rank.
With a CLAT rank around 20,000 , getting a seat in top IPU law colleges like USLLS or VIPS is very unlikely , even with defence quota. In past years, these colleges usually closed at much lower ranks.
However, IPU has a 5% defence quota , which can help you get a seat at a higher rank than general category candidates. With defence quota, you may have a chance in lower-preferred IPU law colleges in later counselling rounds (sliding or spot rounds).
So, at 20k CLAT rank with defence quota :
Top IPU law colleges → Not possible
Other IPU-affiliated law colleges → Possible in later rounds
Seat is not guaranteed , depends on vacancies and your defence priority
You should participate in all counselling rounds and keep defence documents ready to improve your chances.

No. 40 marks out of 60 does not guarantee qualification for Level 2 of SOF IEO 2025–26.
SOF does not use a fixed cut-off. Selection for Level 2 depends on rank , not only marks.
You qualify for Level 2 if any one of these is met: • Top 5% students of your class • Top 25 rank holders in your class and zone • School topper (minimum 10 students appeared and at least 50% marks)
So, 40/60 may or may not be enough . It depends on your rank and how other students performed.

Hello aspirant ,
With 113 marks in AILET , getting a seat in the general category at NLU Delhi is unlikely , as general cutoffs are usually higher. However , if you belong to the OBC-NCL category , you may have a chance , depending on the year cutoff , rank list and seat availability . Final admission depends on counselling rounds , so it is important to participate and wait for official cutoffs.
