If you have less than 50% in your Graduation then you will not be eligible to apply for CAT, CMAT Entrance Exam. But you can apply for XAT, MAT entrance Exams, There is no any minimum score restriction of Graduation but generally the colleges require minimum 50% in the Graduation

As you asked about lateral entry it is just a myth in or misconceotion under architechture so  No, unlike b.tech there is no opportunity where you can join B.arch course in 2nd year as a lateral entry student. You have to start the course in 1st year itself.
