Is there any option for open schooling for class 11 and 12?

Prachi Kumari 21st Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, there is an option for open schooling for Class 11 and 12. You can apply through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) . It is a government-recognised board that offers flexible learning for students who cannot attend regular school. Many state open schools also provide this option.

After completing Class 12 from NIOS or state open schools, you can apply for higher studies and competitive exams just like regular board students.

Hope it helps !

Hai, I am a post diploma holder in tool and die design, prior to this i completed my diploma in mechanical engineering from the reputed polytechnic. now i am a senior manager with 29 years of experience, can I join for MBA course from IGNOU plse give me your valuable reply

Prachi Kumari 21st Aug, 2025

Hello,

For IGNOU MBA , you need:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

  • You also have to clear the OPENMAT entrance test (https://www.ignoumba.in/openmat/index.html) conducted by IGNOU.

Since you have only diploma and post-diploma qualifications, you will not be eligible because IGNOU requires a bachelor’s degree.

If you want to do an MBA without a bachelor’s degree, you can look for executive or professional management courses offered by some institutes, but IGNOU MBA needs graduation.

Hope it helps !

Hello

With your diploma, post-diploma in tool and die design, and 29 years of rich industry experience as a senior manager, you're in a strong position to pursue further education. IGNOU does offer an MBA program ideal for working professionals. However, the basic eligibility typically requires a bachelor’s degree. In some cases, IGNOU may consider equivalent qualifications or experience through special provisions. It’s best to confirm with the nearest IGNOU regional center. They can guide you on eligibility and how to apply.

You can join MBA from IGNOU only if you have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks. A diploma or post diploma alone is not considered equivalent to graduation. With your 29 years of rich industry experience, you may explore IGNOU’s PG Diploma in Management courses, which are open to diploma holders. If you wish to do MBA, first you need to complete a graduation degree through distance or regular mode. Alternatively, you may also look at Executive MBA programs from some universities that consider work experience for admission.

if we are allotted a college in all india counseling in 2nd/3rd round but we didnt join the college..so what will happen?

Abhilasha Agrawal 22nd Aug, 2025

If you are allotted a college in AIQ 2nd/3rd round but don’t join, that seat gets cancelled automatically. Your security deposit may be forfeited as per rules. You usually become ineligible for further AIQ rounds/mop-up. However, you can still take part in your state counselling if registered there. So, non-joining affects only your AIQ seat, not your state quota options.

i want to score above 90% so if i follow 12th mht-cet syllabus as well as 12th syllabus also get coverd and score above 90%

Abhilasha Agrawal 22nd Aug, 2025

Yes, preparing for the 12th MHT-CET syllabus will also cover your board syllabus, since both are the same. For boards, focus more on textbook theory, diagrams and writing practice. For CET, practice MCQs and speed-based solving. Solving previous years’ board papers will boost your score. With proper balance, you can easily aim for 90%+ in boards while preparing for CET.
