PGCET rank is valid only for the same year in which you write the exam. You cannot use this year’s rank for next year’s admission . If you skip admission this year, you will have to write PGCET again next year .
Your 2 backlogs do not allow you to “save” the rank. You must clear the backlogs before the admission process, because colleges check your documents during counselling.
After the PGCET exam , the counselling and admission process usually takes a few months. You get time for document verification, option entry, seat allotment, and then reporting to the college. Normally, admissions are completed a few months after the exam, depending on the official schedule.
So, if you want to join next year, be ready to write PGCET again.
