Hello,
Yes, you can get admission in the second year of diploma after passing in the 12th. You get an option of lateral entry by which you enter the 3rd semester of diploma.
To be eligible for lateral entry, you have to be 12th pass in the relevant subjects.
There might be lateral entry entrance exams for getting admission. However, this varies by institution and the field you choose.
Relevant study materials for the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 entrance exam are available at online retailers like Amazon.in and Flipkart.

Entrance Test 2026. "BOOKHIVE INDIA, Bhushan Science, and Disha are important publishers to search
for. These books usually cover biology, chemistry, physics, and general knowledge, and they frequently include mock exams and previous year's questions (PYQs).
Hey Sajal! With a GMR rank of 41,000 and SC rank of 4174, you do have chances in the 2nd round of counselling 2025. Getting CSE/IT in top NITs might be tough, but you can expect branches like ECE, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical in some NITs/IIITs depending on your homestate quota. Also, state-level government colleges under SC reservation can be a good option. My suggestion is to keep multiple branch preferences open and don’t stick to just one. This will improve your chances of securing a seat in round 2.
You should say to your parents that I respect your decision but If I take Science it is possible that I may not to do well and become a victim of depression. My interest in Arts (Psychology) so I can better in this field and become a psychologist. It is also related to medical field like clinical psychologist, counselling in hospitals etc. or you can show some example of successful psychologists (India and abroad)

Hello Aspirant,
SASTRA University commonly provides concessions and scholarships based on merit in class 12 board exams and JEE Main purposes with regard to board merit you need above 95% in PCM (or on aggregate) to get bigger concessions, usually if you scored 90% and above you may get partial concessions. I suppose the exact cut offs may change yearly on application rates too.

There is no such thing as a fixed number the cut-off varies from year to year and category to category. There are 100 Qs in Paper-1 (2 marks/ Q, negative 0.3 marks). As a general principle of thumb, aim for ~90 to 100 marks +; you will often have ~ 55 to 60 net correct along with good accuracy, putting you comfortably above cut-offs.
Optional Subjects should be taken in prelims and mains:
