mera jee mains- 7,50,000 rank & webjee bhi diya hai isme humko btech cse ke liya West Bengal kon konsa college mil skta hai ..?

OISHEE BANERJEE 17th Jul, 2025

With a JEE Main rank of 7,50,000, getting CSE in top West Bengal colleges is not possible. Colleges like Jadavpur University, NIT Durgapur, Heritage, IEM, or Techno India Salt Lake usually close CSE admissions well before 1,00,000 rank.

However, some private or lesser-known colleges in West Bengal may accept higher ranks, especially in other branches like ECE, IT, or Mechanical. CSE in such colleges is still competitive and often closes before 3–4 lakh rank.

With your current rank, CSE is unlikely through regular counselling. But you can explore options like:

  • Management quota seats in private colleges

  • Other states where CSE cutoffs go higher

  • Alternate branches with better availability

You may also keep an eye on spot rounds or vacant seat rounds, where cutoffs sometimes drop.

Aradhana Mallik 15th Jul, 2025

The final selection depends on your rank, not just the weightage. Cutoff ranks change every year based on N umber of seats, C ategory (General/SC/ST/OBC) and Total applicants and their scores. If your rank is within the cutoff for BBSR campus, then you’ll get a seat. So, wait for the rank list and counseling to know clearly.

My neet score is 487,I get college Which college is preferred

Chelsie G 15th Jul, 2025

With a NEET score of 487, you have a fair chance of getting a government MBBS seat under state quota in several states, especially if you belong to a reserved category (OBC/SC/ST). If you've already been allotted a college, the preference depends on factors like college infrastructure, hospital tie-ups, patient flow, location, and past student reviews.

Generally, older government medical colleges are preferred due to better clinical exposure and experienced faculty. If it's a private or deemed university, compare fees, bond terms, and internship opportunities before finalizing.
