Hello,
If you are looking for the best B.Tech Agriculture colleges in Maharashtra through MHT CET from a package point of view, then the top government universities are:
Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli
Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri
Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola
These colleges offer good education with low fees. The average placement package is around 3 to 5 LPA. Private colleges usually do not offer better placements than these. For better career growth, students also go for higher studies or government jobs.
Hope it helps !
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you can take admission at OUTR Bhubneshwar as lateral entry in civil engineering after completing a 3-year diploma in civil engineering.
Its eligibility criteria includes-Diploma in Civil Engineering and 40% marks (SC category eligibility). If your OJEE rank matches or is close to the previous year’s closing rank for SC category, you have a good chance of securing a seat during the counselling process.
All the best for your counselling process.
For core branches (like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), VSSUT Burla is a better choice than OUTR (CET) Bhubaneswar.
Here’s why:
Strong core departments : VSSUT has a long history and strong reputation in core engineering.
Better GATE environment : Many students from VSSUT prepare for GATE, so you will get a good peer group and study environment.
Good faculty and alumni : Especially in core branches, VSSUT has better faculty support and alumni network in PSU and higher studies.
So, if your focus is on core branches and GATE preparation, VSSUT Burla is the better option.
Dear student,
With a 61% percentile in MHT CET 2025, getting into top colleges like COEP, VJTI, SPIT, or DJ Sanghvi is unlikely, as these usually require a percentile above 90. However, many mid-level private colleges are well within your reach, especially for branches like Data Science, AI, or IT, which have slightly lower cutoffs than core CSE.
You can consider colleges such as DY Patil (Akurdi, Ambi), Sinhgad Institute, JSPM, Zeal College, SIES Navi Mumbai, Sandip University, or SITCOE Yadrav. These colleges typically accept students with percentiles between 40 and 75, so your chances are decent.
During CAP counselling, fill as many choices as possible and keep your options open regarding branches. You may also check for vacancies in later rounds or institute-level admissions.
With a KCET rank of 82,900, securing a Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) seat in government colleges in Bengaluru is highly unlikely. For CSE under the General category, closing ranks at UVCE, RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT, etc., are typically between 3,000 and 9,000.However, you can consider government aided colleges or some private colleges. And also you can explore some other branches with this rank like mechanical, civil or engineering.
You should participate in all counselling rounds via KEA.
Consider private colleges for branch like CSE and core branches like civil, mechanical or electrical in government or government-aided colleges.
With 86% in MHT CET (PCM) and General category, you can target the following CS/IT colleges in Mumbai:

HELLO,
The Scheduled Caste category cutoff for Computer Science varies for different institutions and exams , for example the cutoff rank in IIT Palakkad is 1821 while in Delhi University it can range between 70-79 percentile so you need to check the cutoff as per the specific exam or college
So you can provide me the name of the exam you have given or college you are interested in to know its cutoff for computer Science, so that i can help you with accurate details.
Hope this Helps!
You can check the cutoff using the official website through this link: https://cetcell.mahacet.org
Visit the CAP section, select the desired counselling round (Round 1, 2, or 3), and download the MHT CET cutoff PDF directly from the portal. This will help you check college and branch-specific closing ranks accurately.
All the best for your counselling.

In government insititutes and reputed private college your score should be above 75 percent.
So it may be possible but i am not sure you will get seat in CSE with 56 percentage.
