The sixth round, or Round 6, of JoSAA counselling 2025 is not limited to IITs only. It covers seat allotment and upgradation across all participating institutes, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

Key Points

Round 6 is the final round for IITs. After this, no further allotment or upgradation is possible in IITs.

Round 6 also includes NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. This round remains active for the NIT plus system, and students can still receive upgraded seats in these institutes, even if they have already accepted a seat in Round 5.

For IIT seats, Round 6 marks the end of the JoSAA counselling process. There are no additional rounds and no CSAB special rounds for IITs.

For the NIT plus system, which includes NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, any remaining vacant seats after Round 6 will be filled through CSAB special rounds. Students who have not yet secured a seat should register for CSAB in order to remain in contention.

GNM admissions generally open between June and August, depending on the state and the institution.

For example:

Uttar Pradesh (UP): Applications opened on April 2, 2025, and closed on May 22, 2025. The entrance exam (UPGET 2025) was held on June 11, and results were declared on June 16.

West Bengal: Applications began around March–April, with the exam likely in July–August 2025.

Maharashtra: Online admissions are currently active, with forms open until July 19, 2025.

Madhya Pradesh: GNM admission is expected to begin in August 2025.

Gujarat: Paramedical course admissions, including GNM, opened from May 29 to June 11, 2025.

Most states begin accepting applications between June and August 2025. Entrance exams or merit-based counselling usually follow the application period.

Since admission timelines vary widely by state, it is important to check the official website of your state’s nursing council or health department for the most accurate and updated information.

However, some private or lesser-known colleges in West Bengal may accept higher ranks, especially in other branches like ECE, IT, or Mechanical. CSE in such colleges is still competitive and often closes before 3–4 lakh rank.

With your current rank, CSE is unlikely through regular counselling. But you can explore options like:

• Management quota seats in private colleges

• Other states where CSE cutoffs go higher

• Alternate branches with better availability

You may also keep an eye on spot rounds or vacant seat rounds, where cutoffs sometimes drop.

- Choose the new subject you want to appear for under the " Additional Subject " option .
- Complete the payment via Credit card , Debit card , Net banking , or UPI directly on the portal .
- After payment , the additional subject is usually reflected instantly in your dashboard and admit card .

Yes, RKDF University Ranchi is PCI approved for its pharmacy programs.
